Central Bureau of Statistics: Unemployment rate up 6.9%

The unemployment rate rose from 6.6% to 6.9% between the months of April and June, said the Central Bureau of Statistics. The rate of employed people and job seekers remained as it was in the first half of 2013, standing at 63.7%.
The employment rate dropped to 59.3% from 59.5% in the second half of 2013; simultaneously, a sharp drop in part-time jobs was registered, while the number of hours per worker increased. (Avital Lahav)
