Peres meets Lithuania president, discusses peace talks

Israeli President Shimon Peres met with the visiting president of Lithuania, Dalia. Grybauskaitė, the current interim president of the European Union, told Peres that she is delighted about the beginning of peace talks between Israel and Palestinians. "The EU hopes there will be a viable two-state solution and long lasting peace," she said.
Peres responded: "If the EU wishes to assist the peace process, it must allow both sides to reach an agreement on their own and without pressure." (Noam Dvir)
