Interim EU president: Will work on settlement sanctions issue

Lithuanian president Dalia Grybauskaitė, who is currently acting as interim EU president, told Shimon Peres Wednesday that she intends to work to the best of her ability to discuss the issue of sanctions on Jewish settlements with EU member countries.  

Peres told Grybauskaitė that if a peace treaty was signed between Israel and Palestinians, it will include the issue of state borders, making the issue of settlements redundant. (Attila Somfalvi)
