US releases documents on phone surveillance programs

The US Director of National Intelligence released three declassified documents on Wednesday that authorized the bulk collection of telephone data from one of the surveillance programs.
Deputy Director of the National Security Agency stated that no NSA workers were fired or asked to resign following the leak of the secret surveillance program by Edward Snowden. (Reuters)
