Families petition High Court: Stop Palestinian prisoners' release

The Almagor Terror Victims Association and about 20 families of victims of Palestinian attacks petitioned the High Court of Justice with a demand to prevent the Israeli government, the attorney general and the Justice Ministry from recommending the president to release 104 Palestinian prisoners in the course of the negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.

In addition, the plaintiffs demand an injunction to stop the State from releasing the prisoners until their petition is decided. The petition claims the release, made as an overture in the course of the negotiations, is an act of "foolishness" and was "made in too much haste." (Aviel Magnezi)
