Police arrest 18 in Bedouin resettlement protest

Police arrested 18 demonstrators in a protest near Wadi Ara in northern Israel against the Prawer outline, which seeks to resettle the Negev's Bedouins. The detainees will be brought on Friday for a remand hearing in Hadera's Magistrate's Court.

Several hundreds participated in the protest, some of whom tried to block Route 65, but police dispersed them using tear gas. (Hassan Shaalan)
