Former Knesset speaker Yitzhak Berman dies at 100

Former minister and Knesset speaker Yitzhak Berman has passed away at the age of 100, a Knesset statement said. Berman served as speaker of the ninth Knesset on behalf of the Likud faction and as energy and infrastructure minister in the 10th Knesset.
In September 1982 he resigned from the government due to differences over the Sabra and Shatila affair. He will be laid to rest in Mount Herzl at 6 pm. (Ynet)
