In letter to Rohani, Assad asks to battle 'Western scheme'
Syrian President Bashar Assad sent a letter to new Iranian President Hassan Rohani regarding the strengthening of the strategic ties between the countries and shared will to deal with "the Western and American schemes to weaken the 'axis of resistance'."
Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader Al-Halqi, who took part in Rohani's swearing in ceremony, gave the Iranian president-elect Assad's letter at the end of their meeting in Tehran. (Roi Kais)
