Dead Sea down by 15 cm in July

The Dead Sea fell in July by 15 centimeters, measuring 427.28 meter on August 1st, compared with 427.13 meter one month prior. In comparison, in June, it decreased by 11 centimeters, and in May by 9 centimeters. These numbers are according to Eli Raz from the Hydrological Service of Israel.

 

This trend of declining water levels increasing from month to month is characteristic of Israel’s summer months. (Billy Frenkel)
