CIA official: Syria is today’s biggest threat to US

Michael Morrell, outgoing Deputy Head of the CIA, said that Syria is now the biggest threat to US security.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Morrell said that the risk of collapse of the Syrian regime which possesses chemical weapons, and the involvement of members of al-Qaeda in that country’s civil war, are more of a threat to the US than rising terror threats from Pakistan and Yemen.
