The Al Arabiya network reported that the Syrian rebels said they attacked the convoy of Syrian President Bashar Assaf as the president was on his way to morning prayers. According to them, the attack took place by the Meridien Hotel in the city. The Tahrir al Sham brigades said it was unclear whether the president was injured. No other sources have verified the report.
