Syria: Assad appears at morning prayers on national tv

Syrian President Bashar Assad appeared at Thursday's morning prayers on state television in Damascus. Previously the Al Arabiya network had reported that rebels in Syria claimed 17 mortar shells were fired at the Assad's convoy, as it passed in front of the Meridien Hotel in Damascus. (Roi Kais)
