10,000 apply for biometric ID on project's 1st month

Some 10,000 Israelis turned to the Immigration and Population Authority and applied for a biometric passport and identity card, during the project's first month.
So far 13 bureaus are part of the biometric project, and over the next few weeks the other 15 will be involved as well. (Omri Efraim)
