According to a CNN report, American researchers were able to vaccinate a small group of volunteers against malaria. According to scientists from the National Institutes of Health and the military, the vaccination included weakened forms of the disease.
Malaria, which is transmitted by mosquito bites in tropical areas, causes the death of about one million people every year, and a cure for it has yet to be found. (Ynet)
