Prof. Daniel Kahneman to receive Medal of Honor from Obama
US President Barack Obama named Israeli Professor Daniel Kahneman as one of the sixteen recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Kahneman, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2002, is described by the White House as a 'pioneering scholar of psychology' who applied cognitive psychology to economic analysis, laying the foundation for a new field of research. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
