Palestinian negotiators: New Israeli settlements undermine talks

Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat said on Sunday Israel's plans for new homes in Jewish settlements were aimed to scupper peace talks that resume on Wednesday.
Erekat's statement was seconded by his fellow negotiator, Mohammad Chtayyeh, who said the new construction proves Israel "is not serious" about the peace talks, and accused Israel of undermining a peace deal based on the '67 borders. (Reuters)
