Ministers okay list of 26 Palestinian prisoners to be released this week

The ministerial committee in charge of the Palestinian prisoners issue has approved a list of 26 prisoners to be released on Tuesday. The list will be published tonight at 1 am. Among those released are also several Hamas members, a political source said and added: "The move was meant to strengthen Mahmoud Abbas."

The decision was made based on Shin Bet recommendations. The committee is composed of ministers Moshe Ya'alon, Tzipi Livni, Yaakov Peri and Yitzhak Aharonovich. (Attila Somfalvi)
