Egypt imposes curfew in Cairo, major cities

None

The Egyptian government on Wednesday imposed a curfew that will last for the next month – or until further notice – in major cities including Cairo and Alexandria.

A government statement said the curfew would run from 7 pm until 6 am in 11 of Egypt's 27 provinces, including Suez. It followed countrywide clashes between supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsi and the security forces. (Reuters)
