Finance Ministar Yair Lapid signed a decree imposing additional tax on luxury goods, both on items that were already taxed and ones exempt from it. The aim is to increase state income from taxation.
As of next Sunday, the sales tax rate will be raised on ATVs and SUVs from 30% to 50%, and television screens larger than 50 inches will be imposed with a 30% tax, as opposed to 15% today. Taxes will also be imposed on furs, yachts, jet skis, luxury cars and airplanes. (Ynet)
