Lebanese media reported a blast was heard in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon. A preliminary examination revealed it was most likely a stun grenade.
Earlier on Thursday a car bomb exploded in the Dahiyeh quarter in southern Beirut, considered a Hezbollah stronghold. According to Arab media report, the blast, which killed at least 14, occurred near where Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech earlier in August. The Alarabiya network reported the car carried 50 kg in explosives. (Roi Kais)
