The Prison Service's parole board has rejected the request of Oleg Kerlik, father of Damian Kerlik who was convicted in the murder of six members of the Usrenko family, for an early parole.
The father, 67, was convicted and sentenced to 20 months in prison for spoliation of evidence following the murder. In its decision, the committee said that Oleg Kerlik has not shown a rehabilitation plan and is still considering himself a victim. Following the rejection of his request, Oleg Kerlik submitted an appeal to the Lod District Administrative Court. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
