US urges Egypt not to use 'lethal force' against protestors

The United States on Friday urged Egypt not to use "lethal force" against peaceful demonstrators.

"We made it clear that the Egyptians have the universal right to assemble and express themselves freely, including during peaceful demonstrations," State Department spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki said in an email sent to AFP. (AFP)
