Report: 404 Morsi supporters remanded in Egypt

The Al-Hayat newspaper reported that Egyptian authorities remanded 404 supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi by an additional 15 days. According to the report, they are suspected of involvement in the violent clashes which erupted between security forces and Muslim Brotherhood followers in central Cairo.
The country's official news agency reported on Saturday that some 1,000 Brotherhood supporters were arrested countrywide over the weekend. (Roi Kais)
