Powers to be transferred from Defense Ministry to Home Front

Home Front Minister Gilad Erdan announced that an agreement was reached between the prime minister and the defense establishment regarding the transfer of powers from the Defense Ministry to his office on matters of shielding, shelters and hazardous materials. According to him, the authorities will be transferred within the next few months.
"The lack of stability in our region creates a volatile situation. The cabinet determined before that a ministerial agency is required to coordinate the home front powers, a recommendation validated by the state comptroller's report," said Erdan. (Yoav Zitun)
