PM appoints Yossi Cohen as National Security Advisor

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will bring to government approval his decision to appoint Yossi Cohen, who served as the deputy of Mossad chief Tamir Pardo, as National Security Advisor to replace Major-General Yaakov Amidror who is retiring.

 

Cohen, 52, has been in security services for 30 years. The Civil Service Commission has approved the appointment, and Cohen will begin his post in upcoming months, in coordination with the exiting Amidror. (Attila Somfalvi)
