Egypt: Army thwarted Hamas terror attacks in Sinai
Kuwaiti paper Al Rai has quoted senior Egyptian military sources as claiming that Egyptian forces thwarted a terror attack planned by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, against military facilities in Sinai.
According to the report, a 15 man terror cell attempted to attack soldiers in a bid to release jailed Muslim Brotherhood activists. The group was part of a larger cell attempting to enter Egypt through the tunnels connecting Gaza to Sinai. (Roi Kais)
