Piron says Israeli matriculation exams are 'unheard of'

None

Education Minister Rabbi Shai Piron presented the objectives of the education system towards the upcoming school year in the cabinet meeting Sunday morning.

Piron said that "the scope of (matriculation) exams should be decreased, and they should be spread over three years at five different periods of time. We are at a point where we have 187 forms that cost more than NIS 270 million ($75 million). It is unheard of in the rest of the world. (Shachar Chai)
