Cabinet approves appointment of Yossi Cohen as NSC head

The cabinet unanimously approved the appointment of Yossi Cohen as the new head of the National Security Council (NSC).
Cohen, 52, is a 30-year veteran of the Mossad who has held a wide variety of positions within the organization, including director of the department responsible for running Mossad agents around the world and deputy Mossad head. Cohen will take office within the next few months and replace Maj.-Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror. (Attila Somfalvi)
