CBS: Expenditure on education increases by 3.6% in 2012

According to a report released by the Central Bureau of Statistics, the national expenditure on education in 2012 increased by 3.6% and amounted to NIS 80 billion ($22.3 billion), which account for 8.1% of Israel's GDP.
In the past three years, the national expenditure on education increased by 10%. The report further revealed that the expenditure per student of higher education is two times greater than the expenditure per student in secondary schooling and three times greater than the cost per student in primary schooling.
