Bennett, Lapid to announce committee on import barriers removal

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett and Finance Minister Yair Lapid will announce Monday the establishment of a committee aimed at increasing competition and removing barriers to importing. The committee will be headed by Economy Ministry Director General Amit Lang.
The inter-ministerial staff will perform comparative analysis between Israel and the world in terms of import and will draft recommendations for increasing competition and improving consumer welfare. The staff will complete its work and submit its recommendations within six months. (Avital Lahav)
