None
The high school PTA in Jaljulia declared a strike following the decision by the Education Ministry to disqualify matriculation exams in Arabic for 142 students suspected of having compromised the integrity of the exams. The PTA also warned that they would protest outside the Ministry of Education.
The Jisr Azarka PTA also declared a strike at every school in the community, claiming that educational institutions were not willing to absorb the students. The school year opened today with the return of two million students in schools and kindergartens across the country. (Hassan Shaalan)
