The Tel Aviv District Court filed an indictment against Eidan Damirhan, 47, a Turkish national working in Israel,
for murdering Ilona Denise, 46, in early August.
According to the indictment, on August 3, Damirhan and Denise arrived at their apartment and argued over the rent. The argument grew physical and Damirhan struck Denise in the head, killing her.

The prosecution argued that Damirhan then decided to dismember her body in an attempt to hide the murder and the victim's identity.

The indictment noted that the suspect scattered pieces of the body around Tel Aviv.
After killing Denise, Damirhan asked his employer to book him a flight to Turkey. He was arrested on his way to pick up his passport before leaving the country.
According to the prosecution, there is sufficient evidence to prove guilt.
During the police investigation, Damirhan admitted to dismembering the body, but insisted he attacked her out of self-defense, as she had attacked him first with a hammer and a knife.
