India building collapse kills 8, traps dozen more

Police say eight people have died and others were hurt in the collapse of adjacent three-story apartment buildings in western India.
Local police officer Bhanu Pratap Parmar said one building collapsed early Wednesday and the other fell half an hour later in Vadodara, a city in Gujarat state. Parmar says rescuers were working to pull out at least a dozen people trapped in the debris. (AP)
