Kerry, Hagel among US officials briefing Congress on Syria

US Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel are among senior US officials who will participate in a briefing on Thursday for members of Congress about the situation in Syria, a congressional aide told Reuters.
President Barack Obama's National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will also participate in the briefing to be held via conference call at 6 pm EDT, according to the aide, who had been informed of the briefing lineup by the White House. (Reuters)
