UN chief to meet Security Council's permanent members

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will meet Friday in New York with the representatives of the five permanent members of the Security Council of the United Nations to discuss Syria, said his spokesman Martin Nesirky.

The meeting will begin at 1600 GMT (1900 Israel time) between Ban and the ambassadors of the five countries (United States, France, United Kingdom, Russia, China), said Nesirky. (AFP)
