22,988 olim, returning residents arrive in Israel in past year
According to the Immigrant Absorption Ministry, during the past year, 22,988 new olim and returning residents were absorbed in Israel. The figures further revealed that 7,618 olim and returning residents arrived from Eastern Europe – the largest number of olim from a particular destination.
"The Immigrant Absorption Ministry aimed at increasing the number of new olim and returning residents as much as possible," said Immigrant Absorption Minister Sofa Landver (Omri Efraim)
