Report: Obama postponed strike to get Putin to depose Assad

Kuwaiti paper Al Rai reports that US President Barack Obama decided to postpone a strike in Syria for several reasons, nominally the possibility of getting Russian President Vladimir Putin to convince Bashar Assad to resign.
According to the report, Obama said in two meetings with senior aides that the decision to appeal to Congress regarding the attack gives him more time to convince the international community to support the strike, especially during the G-20 Summit that will begin in upcoming days in St. Petersburg.
