Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Sunday that he opposes an American strike in Syria. "We will not let an Arab country be bombed, and we condemn the use of chemical weapons on either side," he said. He added that any solution in Syria must be political.
Speaking to Fatah members in Ramallah, Abbas noted: "We have submitted a document to solve the situation peacefully. All international elements expressed agreement to this document, including the US, Russia, China and many Arab states, and it is the basis for negotiations at this time." (Roi Kais)
