Abbas: Did not turn to int'l community in return for prisoner release

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Sunday that he recieved a formal guarantee from the US that negotiations with Israel will be based on the two-state solution with regards to the 1967 borders. He said this is why he agreed to renew peace talks.
Abbas added that the Palestinians agreed not to turn to the international community during negotiations in exchange for the release of the 104 prisoners. He added that the Palestinians will demand the release of 250 more prisoners. (Roi Kais)
