Former Tax Authority official sentenced for bribery
The Tel Aviv District Court again confirmed the verdict and sentence in the case of David Vanunu, a former Tax Authority official who was convicted of accepting bribes and sentenced to six years in prison.
The case returned to the district court hearing after the witness in the State's case, Yochai Yaish, who had been manager of singer Kobi Peretz, admitted he lied in his testimony regarding Peretz. Judge David Rosen stated that he believed the testimony of Yaish regarding Vanunu. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
