Suspected: Forged papers for soldiers to withdraw bonus early
The main unit of the Shai District arrested three youths who allegedly forged documents which allowed military veterans to fraudulently withdraw their discharge bonus five years before the date, for a fee that they would charge.
The main suspect, a resident of Eilat, is also alleged to have provided fake marriage certificates. The other two detainees are suspected to have mediated between the main suspect and the soldiers who bought the certificates. In addition, two vets were arrested for allegedly having used the fake documents. Police said that the network even operated within military bases. (Itamar Fleishman)
