Confirmed: Gov’t assistance to growing kibbutzim, moshavim
None
The Housing Cabinet approved the proposal of Silvan Shalom, minister for development of the Negev and Galilee, to provide government assistance to kibbutzim and moshavim in the two areas which are seeking out new residents.
The resolution states that rural communities wishing to build rental housing will be entitled to state assistance amounting to NIS 170,000 per home. This initial amount, together with the profits from the rental homes, should cover the cost of construction and encourage more rural communities to initiate the construction of new neighborhoods.
