During visit at naval base, IDF chief turns to Israeli people, says IDF will ensure upcoming holidays are safe; 'Army has great commanders, excellent systems capable of handling any challenge'

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz visited an Israeli Navy base in Haifa Monday to address recent developments in the region and wish soldiers happy holidays in light of the upcoming celebration of Rosh Hashana.

"My impression as the army's chief," Gantz said, "is that we have great commanders and excellent systems that are capable of handling any challenge. The people of Israel have someone to count on if and when the situation calls for it."
