Indictment: Palestinian raped, beat, tried to murder Israeli partner

The Tel Aviv District Attorney filed an indictment in District Court against Omar Saharallah, 40, from Ramallah, for rape, sodomy, assault and attempted murder of his girlfriend, plus illegal entry and residence in Israel.

The indictment stated Saharalla entered Israel in 2012 and was in a longterm relationship with an Israeli woman. Over a year, he beat her, raped her and committed sodomy several times. She fled the relationship, but he stalked her, trapped her in her apartment and pushed her from the sixth floor balcony. She fell three floors, suffering serious injuries. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
