Syrian rebel leader: Army booby traps homes ahead of strike

A top member of the Free Syrian Army, Kassem Saed a-Din, told the Al-Arabiya network that the Syrian regime booby-trapped citizens' homes so that they will be killed during an American strike, leading to worldwide condemnation of the US. According to him, "Assad's forces have retreated from several of their facilities and moved to schools and universities."
He claimed that following the reports of an imminent strike the Syrian army was beset with defections, and some officers made clear they will defect should the strike occur. (Roi Kais)
