Erdan: Duty to be prepared for any scenario
Home Front Command Minister Gilad Erdan toured the north in order to test home front preparedness for emergencies and met mayors in the region. During his visit, Erdan said despite intelligence estimates that Israel is not expected to be involved in Syria events, it is the country’s duty to be prepared for any scenario.
The minister visited the ammonia container in Haifa Bay, noting that last week he had requested of the Ministry of Environmental Protection to reduce the amount of hazardous materials near population centers, and the process had been carried out. (Yoav Zitun)
