Sheikh banned from Jerusalem for 6 months
The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court responded to a police request and banned Sheikh Raed Salah from the city for 180 days. Salah, head of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, is required to maintain a distance of 30 km from the capital, and to leave a deposit of NIS 50,000.
If he does not comply with the terms of the deposit, Salah will be brought before the court on Wednesday afternoon for a hearing. Salah was arrested Tuesday morning for suspicion of incitement in a speech last week in Jerusalem. (Noam Dvir)
