Former PM Sharon successfully operated on
Former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was moved Tuesday afternoon to the Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, where he underwent a planned surgical procedure on his abdomen.
The operation reinstalled the feeding tube to Sharon's digestive system, through which he receives fluids, as he is under sedation and ventilated and cannot swallow. The operation went as planned and Sharon was returned to the Department of Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation, where he has been hospitalized in recent years. (Dr. Itay Gal)
