Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez said he supports a strike in Syria. He said the US must sent a message to Syria, Iran, North Korea, Hezbollah and al-Qaeda that the world will not condone chemical weapons.
In the Senate hearing about Syria Tuesday Menendez added that any silence on the use of chemical weapons will send a message to the Ayatollahs that America is not serious about stopping their race to a nuclear Iran, and that Israel will not believe the US is backing it and will have a harder time restraining itself.
