According to Lebanese Daily Star, Lebanon's Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said that his country is looking out for the best interests of foreign nationals in the country, following the decision of US State Department to evacuate its nonessential staff from Lebanon.
“Foreign and Arab citizens (in Lebanon) have the full attention of the Lebanese and the Lebanese state,” said Mansour. Regarding the American decision, the minister said that "this is an internal measure by the concerned embassy and we hope they will stay in Lebanon given that the situation is calm in the meantime.” (Ynet)
